For over 16 years, AWP has been able to produce over 30 high-impact projects on a range of human rights and social justice issues due to resourceful use of funding and partnerships. This can only happen with meaningful collaboration with stakeholders who believe in our ability to center the voices, lived experiences, and expertise of survivors, advocates, and key actors at the core of our work.
There are a myriad of ways that you can support ART WORKS Projects as an event attendee, organizer or host, and by raising more awareness of the issues and stories amplified through our projects. And, AWP cannot do what we do without the financial support of our many donors, grant funders, and of course you, our community.

At AWP, your dollar stretches far. Below are some examples of what your collective giving can do to advance our work:
$250: Operational Effectiveness
Like many nonprofit organizations, AWP runs very lean. As such, it is important for our team to be well equipped with the equipment, technology and tools to stay connected with one another, with our collaborators, and partners, especially in this new hybrid environment.
$500: Collaborator/Expert Stipends
It is important that AWP’s projects are grounded in truth, which also requires context and research. As such, it is important for AWP to partner with leading academics, advocates, researchers, in partnership with our survivors and collaborating artists, to engage with our work, and to compensate them for their time and expertise.
$1,500: Paid Internships
AWP hosts undergraduate and graduate interns all summer and throughout the academic year for competitive internship experiences. These individuals are emerging leaders and professionals who will continue to build off the work we are all doing to ensure human rights for all.
$5,000: Emerging Lens Fellow Stipend
In addition to the hard costs of documentation, exhibition development, distribution, and mentorship support offered through the Emerging Lens Fellowship, it is imperative that fellows are able to cover expenses that might otherwise prohibit them from being able to tell these important stories.
$10,000: Project Production & Installation
A critical part of our process is ensuring that our projects are accessible to a range of audiences and stakeholders. We are constantly seeking ways to refine our exhibition production and installation methods to ensure they are cost effective while also retaining the quality and impact of the work to ensure that the nuanced stories and issues presented in our work are being activated with care.
